You can do it well yourself, but the end result has everything to do with the

things you do BEFORE you lay the first paver. I've experienced all three methods: 1. laid them myself and had the end result look like crap; 2. laid them myself with proper prep and had the end result look great; 3. paid professionals to lay them.

Having done #3, I'll never go back to #1 or #2. Life is too short.
