I’ve never seen solar numbers in AZ that actually make economical sense UNLESS

you plan on buying all components online at wholesale prices and installing everything yourself. If there wasn’t so much smoke and mirrors to make the math work literally every home owner in the state would be running solar. Simply put the real life savings are not there.

It's more about what the utility company charges you for grid access now than what your solar panels can generate.
