BYU's only NY6 chance this year is the playoffs or the Cotton Bowl vs a G5 team
The Semifinals are the Fiesta and Peach Bowls.
The Rose, Orange, and Sugar Bowls have tie-ins for the champions or runner-ups from P5 conferences.
The Cotton Bowl will feature the G5 bid vs one other "at-large" team such as BYU, Notre Dame, or a 3rd/4th place P5 team.
With Notre Dame predicted as a top 10 team in many preseason polls, it is possible that an undefeated BYU team may not get an NY6 bid.
