athletics and believe it is the best marketing/engagement vehicle a university has (some outliers but you get the point). With that said, I don't get why so many are upset over Tyson and him potentially not be admitted to a graduate program. Does anyone actually know what his gpa was at USC or the degree of difficulty of his major? I'm not saying this is the case, but if he is woefully underqualified for a graduate program at BYU, that's on him not BYU. Universities exsist to educate people and solve the world's most complex problems through research. Collegiate athletics is secondary to this mission and it always should be. Yes, exceptions should be made but only to a certain point.
