Gulch was slightly higher, but there was a flash flood Friday night.
We were in the Hurricane Wash by that point and were never in danger, but the dry wash turned into a river that was about 2.5 feet deep and 25 feet wide. Imagine if this were in a more narrow section. The sides of the canyons turned into waterfalls. It was spectacular to see, but it made me glad we were out of the Gulch, though there are a lot of areas even in there to get to higher ground.

We also found pools where the water was falling that were 13 feet deep. We went jumping and swimming in them the next day.
