smoker and the plan was that I’d get dinner done for the evening while staying home for the afternoon with the dog while my wife took our two girls to swimming lessons at her parents pool. They won’t get back til 5 or 5:30, so I have a good amount of time to enjoy a nice afternoon off and smoke up some ribs.

Well, of course my wife gives me a list of things she’d like me to do, including doing training with our puppy, tidy up the house, put together the recliner that is getting delivered this afternoon, and fold a mountain of laundry - all while getting dinner ready as well.

As she gets the girls in the van to leave she says “Enjoy a relaxing afternoon!”

One of our afternoons is supposed to be relaxing, but I’m pretty sure it isn’t mine - maybe I’m doing it wrong?
