She was driving in the right hand lane and everyone was going faster than her. She saw a cop car with its lights flashing about a 1/4 mile back and a couple of lanes over, so she pulled to the side of the road like they do in several other states where she had lived previously.
The cop then swerved to the roadside behind her, walked up to her window and asked for the usual stuff. He asked her why she pulled over, and she told him that it was because he had his lights flashing, so she was getting out of his way. He then asked her how fast she was going and he said that she was doing the speed limit. He told her she was going 4 mph over the limit and wrote her up.
In court, the judge threw it out and suggested to the officer that he should focus his traffic code enforcement on those committing significant violations. He then chewed out those in the court room waiting for their cases because they had started laughing when he chewed out the officer.
