What I am saying is that this referenced height cant be a surfing measurement from the back by my understanding. I grew up on the North Shore of Oahu where surfing is God so I would say I have a fair understanding of how the measuring works. Many surfers do not use the Hawaiian wave measurement which we called "from the back" which is a much smaller number causing from the back to actually be 2x the height of other measurements.
Maybe from the back means other things as well. All I know for certain is there is no one alive who has ridden a 200 + ft wave or anything close so there is no way they are measuring this wave at 115' from the back by Hawaiian standards.
