BYU's magic number is 3. Interestingly, the other four teams in real contention for the top 4 are playing each other. Gonzaga is at LMU and St. Mary's is at Pepperdine. BYU is at Santa Clara, but starts its series on Thursday while the others start on Friday. So, BYU has a great chance to put the pressure on Gonzaga and St. Mary's if they win that first game on Thursday. It should also be noted that LMU and Pepperdine both have good shots at making the top 4, so they will be playing for their baseball lives this weekend as well.
