It is a new, and different Night's Watch. There is no more Night King to threaten the realms of men, so that Night's Watch isn't needed any more. OTOH, when it was argued why Jon would go to the Night's Watch, it was argued that a place was needed for the criminals, illegitimate (since CB doesn't like the B word), etc. I suspect the Night's Watch will become something more like a "sheriff's office" of the area around the Wall. I suspect they'll have a better relationship — at least for the next few generations — with the Free Folk. Instead, they'll be there to mediate disputes between the Free Folk and the Kingdom of the North, and possibly even issues between the Free Folk.
