my wife and I are maybe in the bottom 10% when it comes to having kids go to bed, and stay in bed (or even stay in their rooms) for bedtime. something is broken when bedtime hits. I have 4 kids that go to school and need to get sleep to function well the next day in school. also i'm extremely ticked that I'm writing this and it's 3 days before the last day of school and this year has been an epic failure at bedtime. now summer begins and nothing gets solved and we won't be trying to draw a hard line for bedtime, even tho the hard line worked maybe 3% of the time. My wife is not a great disciplinarian, a wonderful loving wife/mother, but does not discipline well, and I, the dicsiplinarian, just end up getting mad when my kids don't go to bed. We have the same routine for bedtime and yet night after night, fail after fail, and then I just end up yelling at someone.
