It says more about the caliber of our opponents than it does BYU.
Kalani has played a 9 win Utah team on the road twice. In road games vs. 8 win or better P5 teams BYU is 2-24 all time. In fact, Kalani has half of those wins.
Boise St. has won at least 10 games in every year Kalani has played them. Utah St. won 11 games last year. Over the last 20 years BYU is 4-38 against teams that win 10 games or more.
Given our history, I wouldn't have expected BYU to win 40% of our games against Utah, Boise, and Utah St. over the last 3 years.
