Especially on offense, there was a lack of experience at the skill
positions. The receiving corps had virtually no experience, even though there was some starter talent.
Even at running back, Squally was basically the only player with experience that came back with 329 yards in 2016.
Mangum couldn't read defenses and couldn't make the same throws to a horrific set of receivers.
The offensive line needed a complete overhaul.
The kicking game was also mediocre.
