Or anyone I’ve talked to. These include: making an online survey and linking it to your Instagram bio to get addresses (instead of, you know, inviting people); a reception line where you stand there for 20 mins waiting to see your friend and have them say “thank you so much for coming, this is my wife MicKenzee” and then awkwardly shaking hands with MicKenzee’s parents; having food but not actually serving food; there’s no dress code, some look like they’re going to church, others just got off work and the rest are just wearing whatever they had on before the drove over to the ward building for your “wedding reception”; putting where you are registered on your invitation; sending invitations that look more like Christmas cards than wedding invites; saying “Brad and Julie So-and-so are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter Linkynn to...” when they aren’t married yet (how are you announcing something that hasn’t happened yet??);
I’m sure there are more but those are just off the top of my head. And I’m not saying those things aren’t found at weddings outside of Utah, but I’ve never heard of it. And it’s not just a Mormon culture thing either because I’ve attended non-LDS Utah weddings with all of the above
