I've never paid attention to restaurant reviews until recently when my friend's
restaurant opened. I don't know what to think about people giving low ratings due to what they deem to be poor service. Restaurants have many employees and turnover among restaurant workers is really high. I don't see how any restaurant owner can guarantee that all of his/her servers is fully qualified and hard working all the time. I've never written a restaurant review and I've only ever failed to tip once in my life. So maybe I'm too forgiving of sub-par service. But I don't understand dinging a restaurant for something that is almost arbitrary. I suppose over time review averages should be high if bad service is legitimately a rare occasion. Still, I don't understand people that log into Google and write up a bad review because their diet coke refill frequency wasn't up to their preference.
