celebrated for very similar actions. Walmart was always criticized for ruining small downtown businesses before they got into moving into major metro areas. Amazon has really taken Walmart's playbook to an entirely different level with their ruthless price efficiency. But everything they do is sunshine and roses in the media. Cities trip all over themselves to get an Amazon presence in their area where the same cities fight Walmart tooth and nails. I really don't have any major beefs with either of them. It's just weird to see the inconsistent treatment and perceptions of the two.
