Because when you pull into a spot (especially with a big truck), it can be hard
to know where your front fenders are so you can avoid hitting adjacent cars. It can also be difficult to pull in straight if the parking lot (or parking spot) is tight.
Backing in solves these problems, and you don’t even have to face those issues when moving forward again because you just pull right out.
