So I found out I have a warrant out for my arrest...
I barely bumped a guy, no damage, no claim filed. Officer “had to” issue a ticket. I thought it said 60 days to pay fine of $200 (???). My mistake.

This is where it turns dark.

I called to report a case of inappropriate pictures taken of my 3 year old son by my old room mate possibly sold for money online . Won’t go into it.

After taking my information, the logan police officer took my information and asked if they could come over and I informed them that I have an arrest warrant for an unpaid parking ticket.

“Well then I’m afraid I have to arrest you. I have to.”

“You mean because I reported a case as serious as this involving a child, you are now going to come to my house and arrest me. Whereas had I not reported this, you wouldn’t have until I can attend traffic court next Wednesday?”

Pause.

“I’m really not trying to be a jerk, but I have to.”

“Should your first priority be to the wellbeing of my son?”

Pause.

“Let me make a phone call to my sergeant.”

Calls back a few minutes later.

“Looks like you’ll get a get out of jail free card. I have permission to not arrest you.”

He then starts pushing to come over tonight after my meeting. He won’t provide any details about the standard operating procedure for something like this, just pushing to come over, works until 10 tinight. Admits that he has no experience handling child cases, works in fraud.

If I were you...would you let this guy in your house? Does an officers have word of honor mean anything?
