So, you expect the law to benefit you at your convenience but somehow don’t
expect to uphold it when it isn’t convenient for you?
Go and pay the ticket immediately. Follow up on the report. And let the officer come over. If you actually are this worried about your child then let the police do their job.
And maybe read/pay attention after getting the ticket. The officer who cited you and the ticket both state your time frame.
