I wonder if reservations ask for the levels of autonomy and privacy that it unintentionally leaves them short of the resources needed to prevent these issues and investigate them?

I have no idea what the arrangement is for reservations but I’m pretty sure they are little pockets of sovereignty, aren’t they?

If reservations are there own sovereign nations or areas and they require the benefits of not being beholden to conventional US law and rule than unfortunately this issue could be a byproduct of their choice which is very unfortunate for their women who are evidently very much vulnerable and in serious need of protections.
