My wife cleaned houses for people, to help me buy my first business. She earned what worked out to be $40/hour
She took over the clientele from a previous housecleaner and was able to cherry pick the best accounts. Also, the house needed to be picked up and ready. She didn’t put stuff away or work around piles of junk. Still, hard work to do for more than about 4 hours at a time.
