Work three days per week (get paid to sleep and get automatic overtime).

Pension after only twenty years of work. Lifelong pension starts by age 45.

Ability to have a second career, or start your own business on the side, while working.

No college education required. No college debt.

Great health benefits.

Most cancers are presumed to have been contacted on the job, so in some respects, you get health coverage for life. (Even skin cancer and prostate cancer are presumed to have been developed on the job).

Low stress, especially if you work for a rural department that does not have EMS responsibilities.
