Our kids placed those mushy window cling decorations on their windows, and they melted. Tried cleaning, but it created a
nasty film on the window that we can't get off. Any recommendations?

Goo Gone or similar generally works well on sticky residues, maybe give it a try

goo gone or one of it's competitive products. Will take sticky crap off almost anything, especially windows
