We grew up relatively poor. I went on a field trip when I was in

4th grade and my mom pack me a can mandarin oranges from Deseret Industries. She did not, however, pack me a can opener. It was a field trip to the state capital and I remember being so hungry it hurt and I just laid down in the bus when we were driving. No money to buy either.
