As a true freshman, he unseated a seasoned senior to take the starting job midway through the season and progressed quickly. Though he didn't beat any P5 teams, he played as good against Utah as any QB we have had in 10+ years and did enough to win that game. He made a couple freshman mistakes, but given his experience and the enviroment I don't put much weight on that.
His showing in the bowl game told me everything I need to know. All he needs is time and a few more weapons around him and I think he will lead us to a couple great season.
