Very good friend...
I have a good friend who is a donor and die-hard Ute. He golfs with KWhitt and has business dealings. They are good friends to say the least.
I am certain there is some animosity that has faded since Sitake took over. I will just say that KWhitt has not done much to build bridges or diffuse the animosity. He would be fine if his team never played BYU again.
I don’t expect him to love BYU, but he certainly has not taken the high road in my opinion. I expect if he were to lose to BYU three times in a row he would demand the rivalry end.
