It seems like more and more what you are saying is absolutely true and high school kids care more about being set to start from day one than compete. How many of us thought that Hall might transfer when Wilson suddenly blew up last season? One of the big changes in college football is players not wanting to compete for a starting job, but wanting to having it given to them.

One thing I respect about Wilson was that he never stopped competing to be the starting QB last season and when Tanner continued to struggle Wilson got his shot. Maybe Maiava is the same kind of player....??
