Pork shoulder smoking question
Smoking 1 pork shoulder is easy. 225° and 1.5 hours per pound. Well tomorrow I have two, 8 pounders I need to smoke at the same time. How much longer should I plan on smoking them? I have a master built electric, so the temp is easy to regulate.

Same amount of time.

It doesn't really add any time if the temp is constant and there is space

should be the same - if you have 2 small shoulders then they should

I smoked 3 in my masterbuilt electric. In theory it doesn’t take much longer. A few comments, though

It shouldn't take any longer...

Don't cook for time. Cook for tenderness

Yup- some are fine at 195, others need 203+

I think they shred much easier when internal temp is 200+

I think everyone that smokes knows that, but you still need to estimate time

It's usually been closer to 2 hours per pound for us.

I’ve always been told to plan a little more time the more you have in the smoker

It can stall longer because there is more moisture in the smoker. You are right that airflow is key
