I enjoy the NBA, though when the Jazz is out of the playoffs I don't follow it all that much.
After the Raptors Championship last night, I got to think of who has won the title in the last 20 years.
Since 2000, there have been 9 different teams that have take home the hardware.
Raptors - 1
Warriors - 3
Cavs - 1
Spurs - 4
Heat - 3
Mavericks -1
Lakers - 5
Celtics - 1
Pistons - 1
13 Wins in the West to 7 wins in the East.
I always felt like it was just 2 or 3 teams that have been winning it all, but in reality, it has been pretty cool to see different teams on that list. Especially 4 teams winning their first one in franchise history (Mavericks, Heat, Cavs and Raptors) in that time span.
*Granted, there are four teams in there with Multiple wins taking up 75% of the Championships which is why I probably felt that way.
Just some interesting data regarding the NBA that I did not realize.
For the record, still, hate the Lakers...
