Utah having the speedy deep threat sets them apart. And BYU still won't have
that (unless freshman Andrada is used, but I don't know if he's ready), but they could have a massive jump if Romney is healthy. During the spring he looked and acted like the kid who was tearing up The Opening and the recruit with loads of potential. Sounds like typical off season hype but there have been a number of people reporting on his work ethic and abilities now that he's healthy. It's not surprising. He's really good.
Sounds like Utah could have someone as well, who didn't play much last year. But we'll see.

The difference is QB. It's been hard to gauge receivers with what they've had at QB. When Wilson came in, some really improved, especially Shumway. If he consistently acts like he's 6'3 210 and acts as athletic as he really is, he could be pretty good. But hoping for that consistency is just something that hasn't been there his whole career.

But with receiving threats, the difference can be if BYU finds more uses for TEs. MLP is a different type of TE (if he's healthy), but Tuipulotu could play a role like Holker did. It hurts teams when BYU uses multiple TEs like that.
