I started with option B

Went to LA for five years. Had a great experience.

Came back to Utah with about a 50% pay cut. Because I had experience in a bigger market, it set me apart and I think I did better than I would have had I started in Utah. It led to good things and my salary recovered to what I was getting in LA within about 4 years and exceeded it thereafter.

Those are both bad options, IMO. I’d probably take option A to buy time while looking for option C.
