One other factor in favor of Utah is that you are more likely to see

your children in the coming years. Being in Utah means being in an ideal destination for family trips. In MY, it may be less likely. I was surprised how much less we saw people once we moved from Utah to San Francisco.

And the cost of living thing really can make a BIG difference. It’s very easy to underestimate that. YIsForBrigham is right about everything he said about that.
