Maybe he’ll have a great year and get a long extension, but if this team doesn’t drastically improve on a career 51% win percentage that Kalani has bestowed upon us over the past 3 years, (LaVell ended up at 71% and Bronco 69%) then it’s time to open up the coaching search once again. This should be a given when you’re 1-8 vs your rivals no? Especially when those rivals are just Utah, Boise, and USU. The sad reality is that under Kalani, the major programs in the state have/are passing us up..

For me the absolute minimum season result to accept for this season is 7-5; IF that includes a win vs Utah. The SOS is a little stronger than normal and that may give Sitake and co some wiggle room, but we all know that at least one of the “big boys” BYU plays this year will end up being very mediocre at best and the SOS won’t be as bad as we think right now. 7-5 record with a victory over Utah and Holmoe could buy himself and Sitake another year. Anything less should result in the both of them stepping down or getting fired.

BYU is currently in their most crucial time ever with athletics, and with the talent returning on offense we don’t have any more excuses. BYU: Stop being the nice guy and actually put effort and $ into your programs. Given the money and finances that the church has, It’s almost criminal at this point what we’ve done, or maybe more accurate what we haven’t done the past 20 years with the prestige/history that backs this program. It’s borderline sad/depressing to be a BYU fan today, at least in the state of Utah. Do the BOT not see this as a direct correlation with the decline in sacrament attendance church wide? Lol TIC?
