The Machine All-American
I hate Microsoft Office. For 99% of users its features are overkill. It's not
that user-friendly either. Collaboration is a joke and frustratingly clunky in the name of security. I get that some people like the functionality of Excel over a simpler solution like Google Sheets, but usually when people build their huge, complicated spreadsheets for data it's really the wrong tool. Something like Power Bi (a good MSFT product) would be better for what they're doing with their excel spreadsheet. Don't even get me started on PPT.

Microsoft designs its software to have competitive advantages in terms of security, which is extremely important for enterprise solutions. For word processors it's not necessary. I don't mind the subscription model, especially for good software. For Office, not so much. The quicker Office and Outlook die the better, IMO.
