This is really funny, because the US has this concept of not "running up the score" that runs counter to your narrative. And most of the controversy wasn't really about scoring more, but about classless celebrations. Plenty of winners out there somehow manage to understand good sportsmanship when it comes to overmatched foes. That's just a silly excuse, nothing more.
