Fascinating (at least to me)
So we all know that BYU was the first team to play a live regular season college football game on ESPN. I learned today (just catching up) BYU vs Utah was the first ever national college football game broadcast from the West (1953).

I believe I also have heard that BYU played in the first game on ESPN2. They were the first game on CSTV which I believe became CBS Sports. I believe they were the first on the mtn as well. Not sure about Versus (later became NBC Sports) but those other ones (if true) are pretty impressive.

On the broadcast today they showed that Pitt played in the first ever radio broadcast of a college football game (1921). They played in the first live sporting event seen coast to coast (not just college football) in 1951. And then they played against BYU in that very first ESPN broadcast in 1984.

All those Pitt references are pretty impressive for sure.
