I think 1-4 would be as much as could be hoped for and 0-4 is the most realistic.
It seems that a great showing in the bowl game and a decent fight against Utah have created a lot of optimism but I just don't see that it's justified. The game before these we were neck and neck with nmsu through the first quarter. Then before that we lost to northern Illinois 7-6 and played horribly vs Boise. I just don't see how those performances extrapolate to beating more than just one and likely none of usc, Tenn, Washington or Utah.
If the prevailing sentiment.is that we should win more than one of these then I don't see how kalani keeps his job. Fan angst would be too great but I frankly don't think it's fair. I think, and I suspect Vegas would support me in my opinion, that we don't win any of the first 4. Based on last year, I'd guess we start 1-7 or possibly 2-6. But perhaps I tend to be pessimistic to protect myself against further heartbreak. But my pessimism has been justified for several years now
