Vs Utah - BYU leads a defensive game 14-3 going into the 4th quarter and has all of us drooling over the defense, but also making excuses for Wilson’s poor play post surgery. All this before Utah comes back to take a 17-14 lead and we miss a 45 yard field goal to push OT, 0-1
At Tenn - offense starts strong, but defense falters a bit, similar to the Nebraska game but minus the comeback. 21-38, 0-2
Vs USC - offense comes out strong and usc can’t move the ball, we hold them off and manage to get our first win of the season 31-27, 1-2
Vs Wash - Both defenses take control of the game, BYU loses a game that we never really felt like we had a chance in 20-10, 1-3
At Toledo - both offenses come out of the gate swinging, but Toledo slows down in the second half, 42-24, 2-3
At USF - slow start for both teams, 10-3 deficit at halftime. We both trade touchdowns and eventually lose 17-24, it will be our last loss of the season, 2-4
Vs Boise - we come out motivated and take a quick 17-0 lead that holds through half time, and eventually win 34-14, 3-4
At USU - This game is a shootout and heads to overtime after Wilson scores a late touchdown to tie it at 35, in OT we force a field goal and score a TD to win 41-38, 4-4
Vs Liberty - our first true blowout, but the first half doesn’t feel like one. We explode in the second half to win 49-10, 5-4
Vs Idaho St - 63-3, 6-4
At Umass - This cursed series finally comes to an end in boring fashion, picture 2016 cinci. We win 24-0, 7-4
Vs SDSU - The offenses get off to a fast start and head into halftime winning 24-21. In the second half neither team scores until SDSU kicks a field goal with 3 minutes left to tie it up. Wilson leads us to the 14 yard line where we hit our game winning field goal and win 27-24, 8-4
We go 8-4, 2-1 vs our rivals, and enjoy the Hawaii bowl, Kalani earns an extension and no one can complain too much.
