1. Brie Larson did a good job in every aspect except the very most important. She is one of the worst voice actors I’ve ever heard. And it was definitely a Brie Larson problem. She had some really good dialogue, some good wisecracking, but it was tonally and emotionally off. Caused a significant immersion problem. 
2. Power Creep in the MCU is getting ridiculous. Capt Marvel is easily at or possibly surpasses even Thor in his allfather and true God of Thunder state. Why wasn’t she called in during Batlle of NYC or Ultron threats? She was absolutely needed. Captain Marvel isn’t the only one either. It started scaling ridiculously beginning with the intro of Wakandan tech. 
3. Also, I really liked how this movie tied in to the Marvel universe (Ronan/Korath, formation of S.H.I.E.L.D., what was going on with the Tessaract after WWII, how Fury came to possess it), but I really didn’t like how Nick Fury lost his eye.
