I forgot about that aspect. I was basing my statement off of if the trade were already official as of today, but since it's not official until 7/6 which is after FA begins that makes things different. I'm not 100% sure how it being a trade as opposed to a FA signing will impact things in regards to which MLE can be used. I just know the room MLE is for those teams under the salary cap but with less than $4.76M of room that allows them to someone up to that amount whereas the standard MLE is only usable by teams that are over the cap.
