If you are someone who is inclined to continue using the purported quote by Albert Einstein that says that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, I respectfully urge you to reconsider using it. First, there is no evidence that Einstein said that. Second, it’s really dumb and isn’t true. For example, in chaos theory, the same repeated acts may have different outcomes. Also, repeated practice of a thing generally improves the outcome. Third, and most importantly, it drives me crazy. Can we all make a concerted effort to relegate this quote to the trash heap of pop culture history? It would be much appreciated. And if this post has no effect today, I will continue posting it until I achieve the desired result.
