So when I googled the phone number, the Deputy Secretary of the FTC has a warning about this. She says that in the first six months of 2018, over 35,000 people lost over $10 million from the scam. In 2017, 3,200 say they lost $200,000 to the same scam.

What kind of people are giving SS numbers out to a computer that sounds like the computer voice from War Games (1982) starring Matthew Broderick.
