Not to brag, but a while ago I took third place in my age group (out of seven, so a solid top-half finish!) at a CrossFit competition and won a few roles of Lift Genie weightlifting tape. Previously, when I used tape, I just got the cheap white stuff. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it did help prevent blisters on my thumbs and pinky fingers.

I've now exhausted the Lift Genie tape and tried to just go back to the white stuff. But I've been spoiled. Plus, as an elite, middle-of-the-pack finisher, the pressure is on to use the best gear. Or, at least, middle-of-the-pack gear.

Here's the thing, though. The stuff is, like, $5 a roll. At that price, it's going to be tough to keep up my Hanes plain t-shirt and Costco Puma low-cut socks look. Is there a cheaper but just-as-good or almost-as-good alternative you guys use?
