Wednesday night, my family and I went to Hires Big-H, downtown, for dinner. On our way home, we passed the liquor store
on 400 S. and I think 200 W. and the line of people was literally out to the sidewalk. My wife and I started laughing about all of the people who were willing to stand there, for their last chance to buy booze... for 36 hours.
My 8-year-old daughter overheard talking, and said in a sweet, but vaguely self-righteous voice, "Well... they should have followed the prophet."
We both looked back, and kinda said "Huh?" To which she said "Plan ahead, and always be prepared for emergency!" 🙂 (My wife has involved her, and our boy in organizing our food storage, and 72-hour bags."
We both laughed, and my wife said "I don't think the prophet meant for people to have storages of alcohol." That was met with "I don't know, but they should listen to him anyways. Even if they don't go to church, the prophet STILL has lots of good ideas, and things to say."
We laughed at that sweet comment all day on Thursday. 😂
