Apparently there's an anti-automobile crowd out there, and this article from one
of them seems to be more of an axe grinding affair than anything substantive. I feel like his claims, that various areas of law like criminal, property, and tort law all but force car ownership, are not only shallow but are more correlation than causation. He even seems to advocate that drivers should be held accountable under strict liability and not negligence - fairly insane to me.

I only know about this vein of thought because I have a cousin who loves to post about it - that is, when he's not driving around SLC or on a road trip.
