SDSU has officially been San Diego St. not Cal State-San Diego since 1974

While most of the CS system schools like Long Beach State and Fresno State are officially California State University-Long Beach and California State University-Fresno, the schools San Francisco State, San Jose State, San Diego State, or Sonoma State don’t use Cal. State U. in their official names.
