games. I don't know how you chalk it up to anything besides culture. Losing games like that has pretty well become cultural imo. (We all know this because we can look at several games during the last 10 seasons each and note the few "fluke" plays that cost us a victory.) And BYU hasn't yet come up with a killer instinct culture to combat it, which is another reason I hate the ball control concept and think it's bad for culture--unless you are stuck with a limited QB.
Furthermore, when you see the same types of failures year after year you really need some transcendent players who are just better than the rest. Do we have those?
