I grew-up in Montpelier and lived in Shanghai (HK and Seoul as well) for part of my career and am now in Chicago. Big cities have a lot to offer, but wouldn't want to retire in one. Would like to find a smaller town in the rockies that is 1-2hr drive from a good airport, and i would be happy to retire there. Big town convenience is close, but far enough away that the peace and quiet of the mtns can be enjoyed.
