How come the PAC12 can't manage to ever get a team in the Playoffs anymore?

Seems like the PAC12 has been missing from the 4 team Playoffs for a while.

Every year, their "elite team" gets exposed on National TV and they fizzle out. Last year it was Washington losing at home to Auburn....

The PAC12 school fanbases seem to get really upset that the SEC teams play an 8 game conference schedule, and have much larger fanbases and TV coverage...

Anyway. Why aren't we seeing the PAC12 schools in the Playoffs?
