It seems like the match up between the BYU OL and the Utah DL was pretty even in 2018. BYU ran for 153 yards and Utah ran for 155 yards. Once BYU ran out of depth in the 4th Q at RB, and when they became more predictable in their running game that Utah was able to capitalize. BYU had the more consistent run game throughout the game. It seems like with a full stable of RB's and a fresh OL that just based off of last years results, that BYU will have a slight advantage here.

Utah has some question marks on the OL and BYU a few on the DL, though it seems like this battle might be more even especially with the return of Moss and Huntley. I know that if Utah was in BYU's position and returning the amount of depth and talent that BYU returns on the OL that I would be much more concerned about this battle.

The biggest question mark for Utah is Ludwig at OC. Kalani and Ludwig coached together. It seems like with Grimes returning and with BYU having an offense that is mostly staying in tact, that BYU has the advantage just based on coaching question marks. Utah has a history of starting out slowly on O and then picking it up later in the game. If BYU can start fast and stay consistent throughout the game, it might just be enough to win. Utah can't afford another historical slow start.
